2018 Audi Q8 Spotted; New Design To Usher New Era For Audi

The 2018 Audi Q8 was spotted to be tested days before its expected presentation at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show. The new SUV will hit the market next year and is expected to usher a new era for Audi. Check out the new spy photos here.

In just a few days, the 2017 Detroit Auto Show - the first great automotive event of the year, will commence and Audi will show the public an interesting new SUV: the Audi A8 Concept. A few days ago, the brand published some sketches of the Audi Q8 and just recently, spy photos of the 2018 Audi Q8 showing its impressive design emerged.

These new spy photos were taken in northern Europe, more specifically in the region of Scandinavia. The 2018 Audi Q8 takes advantage of the hard European winter to check how it will fare when driven in snowy roads and harsh conditions.

This is not the first time that the 2018 Audi Q8 was seen being tested. But this time, in its final test and development phase, it had lost some of its camouflage and according to FirstPost, this will usher a new era for Audi. Although the photographs have been taken from a considerable distance, the 2018 Audi Q8 is said to be very wide and high and even borrowed styling cues from Audi A5. It also has a roof line and a drop characteristic.

The 2018 Audi Q8 will feature a design that transmits a futuristic, urbanite, strong and tough image. This was confirmed by Marc Lichte, chief designer of Audi, when he unveiled the sketches last month. This means that many of these concepts and design elements will be moved to the production version of the Audi Q8.

Turning to the mechanical section of the 2018 Audi Q8, one can anticipate that it will may have petrol and diesel V6 and V8 engines. Some of the V8 engines were developed by Audi and Porsche. In addition, a plug-in hybrid variant and a 100% electric variant can be expected.

2018 Audi Q8 launch is coming, however, its release date to dealerships is still unknown. Check out the spy photos here.
