Nintendo SNES Classic Edition 'Soon To Be Release' Status - Aims For Christmas 2017?

Nintendo Mini NES Classic Console is the hottest Holiday gift for 2016. A huge outraging fans crashed retailers website, lined up for 8 hours, and experienced huge desperations just to get their hands on the retrospective console. Now that Nintendo has announced that they will follow up the Mini NES with the SNES version, fans are bound to get another hunting craze.

The Super Nintendo Entertainment System or SNES released in 1990 in Japan is the second console following the NES console. Back in the time, the SNES is packed with advanced graphics and sound capabilities, therefore named as the best-selling console of the 16-bit era.

After the release Nintendo Mini NES Classic Edition, a lot of speculation has surfaced the internet. It says that Nintendo is currently working on the SNES Classic Edition to follow up the success of the NES Classic. According to Latinos Health, the company's resources is currently focusing on the release of Nintendo Switch.

Certain clues revealed that supports the theories that SNES is indeed in the works when Nintendo filed a trademark image of the SNES controller. It is also assumed that the trademark will be an upgrade to the NES Classic. Also, other speculation states the follow up is not much of a surprise since the SNES library is packed with iconic titles.

The possibilities of Nintendo creating a miniature SNES console is not much of a difficulty since it has proven by a certain hobbyist who created their own NES consoles. According to Daily Star, the SNES Classic Edition might be set to release December, or right before Christmas of 2017.

It is indeed an exciting news especially for retro games faithful. It will also be impressive if Nintendo calls the cards right and produce enough stocks to avoid chaos like what happened with the NES Classic Console.
