The Boss has spoken; Bruce Springsteen is officially backing President Barack Obama for the second time.
In an open letter to fans published on his website, Springsteen announced to his legion of fans that Obama deserves another four years in office and that he is our best choice.
"Right now, there is a choice going on in America, and I'm happy that we live in a country where we all participate in that process," said Springsteen in the letter. "For me, President Obama is our best choice because he has a vision of the United States as a place where we are all in this together."
The announcement comes as no surprise as Springsteen publicly supported Obama in 2008 when he was running against Senator John McCain. Obama won the election by winning 365 Electoral College votes to McCain's 173. Obama also won the popular vote 53 percent to 46 percent.
In the letter, Springsteen lists some of Obama's noteworthy accomplishments and beliefs such as the killing of Osama Bin Laden, rescuing the auto industry, and being the first President to support same-sex marriage. He also voiced his displeasure with Republican officials resorting to voter suppression in many states.

The 20-time Grammy winner admitted that things haven't exactly been completely great lately, but hopes the nation realizes that overall things are a lot better than they were four years ago.
"We're still living through very hard times but justice, equality and real freedom are not always a tide rushing in, said Springsteen. "They are more often a slow march, inch by inch, day after long day. I believe President Obama feels these days in his bones and has the strength to live them with us and to lead us to a country"
Springsteen will be appearing at rallies in Ohio and Iowa today along with Obama and Vice President Biden to publicly support both as their quest for four more years is down to a matter of weeks.
President Bill Clinton will also be making appearance at the Ohio event.
"Bruce Springsteen's values echo what the President and Vice President stand for: hard work, fairness, integrity," said Jim Messina, Obama-Biden campaign manager in a press release. "His appearances will help with our get out the vote effort in these critical swing states and we are thrilled with his ongoing support."
The event is free and open to the public.
