Over a hundred years in the history of the automobile, Honda had come up with its finest new Honda concept car. It is called the NeuV, and Honda describes it as an "automated EV commuter vehicle" that will be able to have emotions.

According to Honda, the vehicle is equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) called emotion engine that generates new value for customers and new potential for human interaction. This emotion engine was developed by Cocoro SB, the Japanese artificial intelligence company behind the Pepper robot.

The automaker said in a statement that controlling the power of artificial intelligence, robotics, and big data to renovate the mobility experience.  Honda had announced that they will participate in the Consumer Electronic Showcase (CES) Cooperative Mobility Ecosystem.

The NeuV is small, presumably lightweight, and obviously optimized for shuttling around cities, with tight parking and heavy traffic.  It has a large translucent canopy and the doors are marked out by the angular shards of metal run from wheel to wheel.  The engine is built to supposedly allow machines to generate their own emotions.

Honda has confirmed that the concept is an electric vehicle. Even though a steering wheel and dashboard can be spotted through the canopy the NeuV will also showcase autonomous abilities. The design of the concept vehicle hints at a couple of trends we're likely to become reality as commuter mobility is changed over the coming decades.

No one knows where the automobile is going but concept cars provide a window to look into the future.  All automakers create concepts cars but they may explore different ideas and market.

The NeuV has futuristic technologies developed with mobility in mind will be showcased, including how to use technology to reduce traffic congestion and new methods of in car mobility. All will be revealed in January, according to Honda at the Consumer Electronic Showcase (CES) in Las Vegas.
