Cheap Electric Cars Released For Purchase, Latest Versions Too Good To Be True?

Recent reports suggested that the cheap electric cars had been ranked and the "second wave" versions had been up for leasing even before the start of 2017. The dealerships were said to have been wholesaling the units at its cheapest price ever.

Auctions for electric cars had been launched for cheap electric cars at the most affordable prices while others were under higher discounted rates. As reported by Jalopnik, several car dealers were given access to the auction as the models would be sold as wholesale entities. It was also revealed that these type of car dealers were banking on wholesaling low-mileage used EVs.

The list revealed that the 500e was to be sold for only $4,500 with only 12,000mi/yr. In fact, the drop of the price was lodged at a whopping 80%. Furthermore, vehicles that would be sold at $11,000 would be those aged at three-years-old with below-average miles as well.

Fiat did not reveal the number of cheap electric cars the company sold as wholesale this 2016 but the number could reach about 13,000 vehicles by December. Furthermore, the Fiat Chrysler engineers were also silent as to who among their engineers works on which models as well.

In other news, Green Car Reports revealed that electric cars not made by Tesla would likewise be cheap nowadays due to battery degradation and lower range levels. For example, used Nissan Leafs would be available for purchase at $9,000 which could run under 30,000-40,000mi, a thousand dollars less than it cost before.

Many electric vehicles such as the Fiat 500ee would only be sold and leased in select stated. Without the photos revealed for the auction of the cheap electric cars, the only way interested buyers could see the vehicles for themselves would be to attend the auction.
