The much awaited 2017 Mazda CX-5 and the strong-selling 2017 Mazda CX-3 now get a sporty version that will be presented at the 2017 Tokyo Auto Show. Both have impressive style changes, but we'll have to wait until Tokyo to see what's under the hood. Check out the photos of the sporty version here.
Ever since the 2017 Mazda CX-5 was revealed, auto fans have been dreaming of a possible Mazda CX-5 MPS that we even reported here at AutoWorldNews, a rendering by X-Tomi Design of the possible 2017 Mazda CX-5 MPS.
It seems that the sports version that we expected will not carry the acronym MPS and will instead be called the 2017 Mazda CX-5 Custom Style. It will be shown at the 2017 Tokyo Auto Show that will be held on January 15 to 17 together with the 2017 Maza CX-3 Custom Style, as well as other special editions of Mazda's most popular cars.
Revealed only a month ago, the new-generation CX-5 was already quite the looker, but in the published photos shown on CarAdvice and the video below, the style changes of the 2017 Mazda CX-5 were even more superb, if that's even possible. But we will have to wait for Tokyo to see if there will be changes in its performance.
Aesthetic differences between the 2017 Mazda CX-5 Custom Style and CX-5 Original are the small lip on the front bumper, a rear bumper in which the chrome line is maintained, a set of 20-inch wheels with tires 245/45R20, refined mirrors and the chrome trim on the underside of the bumper, giving the SUV a sportier look.
The 2017 Mazda CX-5 Custom Style will also have new height adjustable suspension, black brake clamps, aluminum pedals, illuminated entries and new floor mats according to Carscoops.
Premiering alongside this 2017 Mazda CX-5 CX-5 will be the 2017 Mazda CX-3 Custom Style. It, too, received styling tweaks and now features a sporty bodykit, black brake calipers and more.
