2017 Lamborghini Aventador S: Faster, More Powerful And Full Of New Features

Lamborghini has unveiled the much-awaited development of its supercar, the 2017 Lamborghini Aventador S. It presents more aerodynamics, new suspension and a more powerful atmospheric V12 engine, among other improvements. Read on to find out more about Lamborghini's new supercar.

We have reported a lot about the 2017 Lamborghini Aventador S in the past few weeks, and now it has finally been revealed together with all the information and official photos of the new supercar as well. One can find styling changes in both the front and rear of the 2017 Lamborghini Aventador S. Each of the components and elements have been redesigned for the sole purpose of improving aerodynamic performance, according to AutoBlog.

Also incorporated in the 2017 Lamborghini Aventador S are some details that remind us of classic and popular Lamborghini cars. An example are the new lines of the arches in the rear wheels that display a clear influence by the original Countach.

The 2017 Lamborghini Aventador S' new "nose" and longer front splitter help redirect the airflow to increase downforce by more than 130 percent compared to the previous Aventador coupe. The two air ducts located at both ends of the front bumper reduce aerodynamic interference on the tires and optimize the flow to the rear radiator.

Leaving aside the exterior and taking a look at the images of the passenger compartment, one can see the novelties incorporated by Lamborghini. One of these is a new four-digital instrument with a TFT screen that can be customized by the pilot. Connectivity with Apple CarPlay comes standard. The 2017 Lamborghini Aventador S also features front and rear shock absorbers with the "Pushrod" system. Active suspension modifies the behavior of the dampers depending on the race and the driving mode selected.

The 2017 Lamborghini Aventador S also allows one to choose between four driving modes: STRADA, SPORT, CORSA and EGO. Each of the modes directly influences the behavior of the engine, transmission, traction, steering and suspension, according to AutoSpies.

Turning to mechanics, and probably the most important update, the 2017 Lamborghini Aventador S receives a major upgrade to its naturally aspirated engine 6.5-liter V12 to increase its power to 740 hp (up to 40 hp over its predecessor) and 690 Nm of torque. The engine is associated with a seven-speed ISR gearbox as well as an all-wheel drive system.

With this engine, the new Aventador S is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 350 km/h . The average combined consumption is 16.9 liters per 100 kilometers and CO2 emissions of 394 g/km.

The 2017 Lamborghini Aventador S will be sold for about $300,000. The first deliveries will take place in the spring of 2017.
