Jerry Sandusky was sentenced to at least 30 years in jail on 45 counts of child molestation this past Tuesday. This most likely means the 68-years-old will spend the rest of his life behind bars.

Now that he has been convicted and sentenced, Sandusky needs to worry about where exactly he will be serving his time.

There are around 6,800 sex offenders currently serving time in one of the 25 prisons in Pennsylvania. Sandusky will be sent to one of those jails, as there are no special facilities for sex offenders in PA.

Police officials now have to decide where to place Sandusky after putting him through a number of tests and classification at a prison near Harrisburg, PA.

There are at least three State Correctional Institutions in Pennsylvania that Sandusky could be sent to including ones located in Frackville, Marienville, and LaBelle. These three prisons are considered close security prisons, and would probably be the worst case scenario for Sandusky. 

If they determine he shouldn't be sent to a close security prison, he could wind up in a medium security prison located in places like Coal Township, Greensburg, or Somerset.

Of the prisons that Sandusky could be sent to, he won't be sent to SCI-Greene in Waynesburg, PA. This prison is reserved for the state's most dangerous criminals who are placed their before receiving the death penalty.

The only items he is allowed to bring with him include dentures, eyeglasses, a basic watch and wedding ring without gemstones.

Sandusky put out a statement on Monday night before the sentencing to a Penn State radio station to discuss his belief that he still thinks he is innocent. His opinion is that the victims have been lying for their own gain, and that the media and police officials have simply ganged up on him due to the allegations. He recorded the statement in jail.

"They can treat me as a monster, but they can't take away my heart," said Sandusky. "In my heart, I know I did not do these alleged, disgusting acts. My wife has been my only sex partner and that was after marriage. Our love continues."

After the report came out in 2011, the NCAA fined Penn State a record-breaking $60 million and banned the football team from being Bowl illegible for four years.
