The preproduction version of the Lucid Air Luxury EV, a premium vehicle to be built by Lucid Motors, formerly known as Atieva, has been under testing in Fremont Industrial Park. Just recently, it took on a passenger who could test to see how it feels to be inside as it's moving on the road. The Lucid Air Luxury EV will not arrive on the market until 2018, but preorders have been coming in, an indicator of motorists' welcome response to this electric vehicle.

The Lucid Air Luxury EV has an interior that is comparable to the BMW 7 in terms of ample interior space. The car can easily seat a person with a height of more than 6 ft., with enough space between the passenger's head and the roof, and more legroom to be able to stretch the legs. The car will be priced at more than $100,000 with the Launch Edition costing around $165,000. Preorders were accepted with a deposit of $2,500. Equipped with sensors, excellent computing power and safety features, one can ride this car without fear of meeting a road accident, according to News Times.

Lucid Air Luxury EV will be a great challenger to Tesla and other hybrid cars. If the top cars want to continue reigning in 2018, innovations and upgrades will need to be considered to remain competitive.
