2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata Special Edition Coming! The Arctic Sets To Brighten Your Winter [VIDEO]

The Mazda MX-5 Miata has always been known because of its many special editions: We just had the RF a few months ago, and now Mazda has release a limited special edition of their iconic 2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata called the "Arctic." Whoever says convertibles are not for the winter probably has yet to see the Arctic.

The 2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata Arctic actually already existed back in 2005 in its second generation. Luxurious and exclusive, it was limited to 2,000 units worldwide and included among its equipment special paint and 15-inch alloy wheels with low profile tires. Now it is back, at least for now, in the UK market only. It's committed to the introduction of some mirrors and a front frame with a metallic finish, as most outstanding elements, with matching roll-over bars and in perfect Tune with the tone Blue Metallic Reflex.

The interior also receives a brief dose of customization to differentiate it from the plain versions of the 2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata. Among the notable changes are the red stitching running through the dashboard, and the moldings of the doors are painted in the color of the body while a part of them imitates the carbon fiber.

In addition, the 2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata Arctic boasts standard equipment on which one can see some heated leather seats, light sensors, and rain and rear parking aid, among other elements. It also includes a multimedia display system on the dashboard and dual USB jack, according to Automotiveworld.

The 2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata Arctic special edition is based, mechanically, on the version of 1.5 liters with a power of 131 horses sent to the rear axle counting for transmission with a manual gearbox. More rabid but less powerful than the 2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata, it also does not include self-locking.

The 2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata Arctic will be limited to 400 units in the UK and will arrive in early 2017, according to CarKeys. Price has not been announced yet and we are still waiting for news on its availability in the U.S.
