2017 BMW X2 Spy Photos Show Stylish X1 Successor Undergoing Cold Weather Testing In Sweden [VIDEO]

The 2017 BMW X2 was spotted undergoing cold weather testing in Sweden. If you were a fan of the X2 concept presented at the Paris Motor Show, you'll like what you see in these spy shots as the X2 looks like a more stylish version of the X1 and its performance in the snow is impressive.

It's snow season and for several days we are seeing major brands shifting their development center nearer to northern European locations. The idea is to subject the mechanics, electronics and, ultimately, the vehicle being developed to snow and freezing temperatures to check the car's response to these extreme environments. The 2017 BMW X2 has been the last to join this winter festival.

Compared with the previously spied 2017 BMW X2, one can see that it has not lost one camouflage. However, as anticipated, the design of the production version of the 2017 BMW X2 will remain very faithful to the concept presented at the last Paris Motor Show 2016, an SUV that was based on the BMW X1 with a lot more style, as said by AutoBlog.

The 2017 BMW X2 will enjoy a more sporty image thanks to its flowing lines, unconventional forms and certain elements that convey a sense of dynamism and versatility. The vehicle is uniquely seasoned with elegant and modern details, according to Carscoops.

By sharing architecture with the BMW X1, we find a very similar range of engines. Although the 2017 BMW X2 will be available as standard with front-wheel drive, find the range associated with versions xDrive in BM. There will be three engines and a four-cylinder engine with power range situated between 136 hp and 231 hp respectively. Understandably, the brand will provide us with blocks diesel and gasoline.

And although a plug-in hybrid variant is not ruled out, for now there is nothing official. Will we have space for a M Performance variant? It seems so, but nothing is final yet until the 2017 BMW X2 debuts at the Geneva Motor Show.
