2017 Honda CR-V may not be the SUV, one would always want to drive but it is what everyone will recommend mostly. It is the typical Honda, good in almost everything, spacious and functional, well built, efficient and sold at a fair price - although according to USAToday, price already increased because of the new features. The 2017 Honda CR-V will start at $24,945, including a $900 destination charge, for the entry-level LX model. That's $200 more than its 2016 counterpart.
The 2017 Honda CR-V hits the US market at a time when its sales are higher than ever. That's why Honda did not want to risk the renovation. Only some essential things are perfected in the design and that works fine. Forget the headlights and the old-fashioned front grille of the previous model. In their place are slim and elegant headlights and a two-tiered grille. Viewed in profile, the larger body looks heavy, supported on 18 "rim wheels. At the rear, the CR-V throws out its vertical lanterns and adopts horizontal lights that invade the back cover.
The biggest gains of the 2017 Honda CR-V are in the interior, where the base of the trunk is almost 25 cm more than before. The legroom had an increase of 5 cm. The driver will also be welcomed by a new digital dashboard - like the Civic according to AutoNews - and a redesigned dashboard with Honda's multimedia system, the 7-inch Display Audio. And what's that round thing in the bottom left corner of the rig? A legitimate volume knob, something that Honda brought back.
The 2017 Honda CR-V will have a new 1.5-liter turbo 4-cylinder, already used in the Civic, but with 16 more hp and 2.4 more torque, reaching 192 hp and 24.8 kgfm torque. It is still possible to buy the CR-V with the 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine aspirated in its entry version, the LX, but from the EX the only option is the 1.5-turbine. And the benefit is not just power.
The turbocharged engine is smoother in operation, with better power delivery and greater fuel economy. While the front-wheel-drive LX makes 11.1 km / l in the city and 13.6 km / l on the road, versions 1.5 deliver 11.9 km / l and 14.5 km / l respectively. With four-wheel drive (optional), consumption drops just 0.4 km / l in both situations.
