Mazda officially announced the 2017 MX-5 RF's price during the Miatas at Mazda Raceway event, promising it will hit the retail showrooms early next year.
Much to the delight of car buffs, they made an unexpected appearance on Nov. 22; citing changes in the production schedule, allowing the Japanese automaker to bring the 2017 Mazda MX-5 RF to the United States a couple of months early. While the early debut of the 2017 MX-5 RF seem to have stirred conversations among car buffs, it's worth noting that the original Miata RF to be offered was airlifted to Huntington Beach Mazda, where Mazda North American Operations President and chief executive Masahiro Moro himself gave Dave Putter, a long-time Mazda loyal, keys for his MX-5 RF Launch Edition at the LA Auto Show.
Other deliveries seem to be pretty erratic as the brand confirmed that nearly 500 more 2017 Mazda MX-5 RF will arrive at dealerships nationwide early this month. This will be followed by a far-reaching delivery throughout the rest of winter and spring, The News Wheel reported. The 2017 Mazda MX-5 RF will be available starting March 4, 2017 with the Launch Edition. However, the 500 cars slated to be available in the United Kingdom have already sold out. Those interested in getting their hands on the 2017 Mazda MX-5 RF Launch Edition would have shell out £28,995 (about $36729).
The 2017 Mazda MX-5 RF Launch Edition is expected to boast a jaw-dropping design --- complete with a two-tone roof, black door mirrors, black rear spoilers, and BBS alloy wheels. Furthermore, the exclusive edition of this 2.0L petrol-powered MX-5 RF will have Recaro seats as standard, Alcantara trim, and the Safety Pack. Nevertheless, the entry-level 1.5L SE-L Nav from the standard range will bear a price tag of £22,195 (about $28115), according to a report from Auto Express.
Customers looking to buy the 2017 Mazda MX-5 RF will have a choice between Club or Grand Touring trim levels, (ousting the standard third, base "Sport" level) since the brand instantly sold out its exclusive Launch Edition models, based on the Grand Touring trim.
