One thing that will definitely be missing is the drop bench seat option, as it will officially only offer front bucket seating. Only one in 10 Impala buyers chose the drop bench seat option last year, and while there is still a certain nostalgia for the bench seats, most buyers prefer the more modern look of front bucket seats.
Chevy's newest Impala offers three engine choices to help all interested buyers find exactly what they are looking for. The three include the 303-horsepower 3.6L V6 engine offers 28 mpg on the highway and goes from 0 to 60 in 6.8 seconds. The standard 2.5L 4-cylinder engine that delivers 31 mpg on the highway and 195 horsepower, while the 2.4L 4-cylinder engine with E-assist that delivers and estimated 35 mpg on the highway and 182 horsepower.
The 2014 Impala is armed with the newest Chevrolet MyLink in-car infotainment system, which incorporates Bluetooth wireless for select phones, natural voice recognition and advanced touch-screen technology. This feature will allow drivers to make calls, stream music from online services like Pandora, operate USB†-connected devices effortlessly. Those who purchase the car can even modify the high-resolution 8-inch color touch-screen for quicker access to the features that the driver is mostly to use the most.
The vehicle gets a number of safety enhancements for the 2014 series as well. Its arrangement includes more high-strength steel than before along with 10 standard air bags to help ease the impact of a collision. New advanced safety technologies are also available for this model, including Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert and Full-Speed Range Adaptive Cruise Control with Collision Mitigation Braking, Rear Park Assist with Rearview Camera and Side Blind Zone Alert with Cross-Traffic Radar Alert. These available features are designed to help protect against any type of situation a driver may get into.
