Self-Driving Cars, Crossovers, And More; 5 Incredible New Cars And Auto Trends This Year

As the year comes to a close, it is worth noting that new cars and auto trends were definitely surging high this year. It isn't just about the rising public interest in electronic cars and its advancements in battery technology and energy conservation, but also today's improved technology developments and new innovations from manufacturers.

In the long term, it seems inevitable that self-driving cars can take over more and more of a pilot's work. These new cars can guide themselves to places, refrain themselves from road accidents, and more --- due to its capability of sensing its environment by using radar, GPS and more. Multiple automakers such as BMW, Infiniti, and Mercedes-Benz are all eyeing to make it at the top with their lineup.

Crossovers are deemed strong alternatives as compared to traditional vehicles out there. It is because of their combined SUV and passenger car features, as well as capability of carrying seven people and efficient gas usage. On the other hand, SUVs aren't that popular as before anymore because of more convenient and spacious hatchbacks, which have found a way back to drivers' hearts today. Ford and Chevy even changed the design of two of their popular models to keep up with the auto trends.

Meanwhile, auto trends are known for its advanced technology aids --- from voice-controlled services, apps, GPS systems, down to Bluetooth connectivity. The increasing numbers of manufacturers are now more into building, expanding, and exploring these aids to further improve their automobile lineup's specs.

With all these high-tech advancements however, safety is still the topmost priority of manufacturers --- including forward collision warning, backup cameras, blind-spot warning systems, rear cross traffic alerts, and lane departure indicators, which are already present in new cars nowadays. Future cars may also apply for a customary emergency braking technology using sensory techniques, according to Parade.

Indeed, people will come to see vehicles as a form of service rather than a possession. However, owning a car is a choice rather than a necessity.
