Tom Hanks Attaches Emmy Award To Car (Video)

Even a Hollywood veteran like Tom Hanks still likes to have fun every once and awhile.

The best actors and actresses were honored this Sunday at the 64th annual Primetime Emmy Awards, and while most winners drive home with their awards in hand, Hanks had a different plan in mind if he won.

Hanks was at the Emmys to support the political drama "Game Change" which he produced for HBO, and the movie took home the most Outstanding Miniseries or TV Movie award.  Hanks then spent most of night after the ceremonies partying at the Pacific Design Center. When he and his wife Rita Wilson were done celebrating the win, Hanks decided to attach his newest honor to the hood of his Lincoln limo with packing tape. Once he was done, the limo had more of a Rolls Royce look to it despite the horrible packing tape job by Hanks. His reasoning for doing so was apparently just wanting to show the world how proud he was of the honor, even though he has won five times in the past 15 years.

The Oscar winner posted a video on Twitter as well to show his fans how he was "getting around these days" showing the award securely attached to the vehicle. His wife Rita Wilson also took to Twitter as well to post multiple pictures of the award while the limo cruised around town to prove just how serious they were.

His previous awards, which have all come from producing HBO movies, were for films like "From Earth to the Moon", "Band of Brothers", and "The Pacific". The made for TV film won a total of five Emmy Awards in the Miniseries or Movie categories including for Best Actress which went to Julianna Moore, Directing which went to Jay Roach, and Writing which went to Danny Strong.

The award has since been taken off the car and is safely in Hanks's home. The actor is known well for his quick wit, he once refunded $25 to a couple he met at a gas station after they told him they didn't like his movie "Larry Crowne."
