2019 is definitely coming with a bang as Hyundai releases its new small SUV model: the Hyundai Carlino. The concept's blueprint design was first unveiled at the 2016 Auto Expo in India.
Hyundai already started to work at the backend, developing new small SUV prototypes that will line up with and below its Creta car models. Hyundai Carlino, which is given a QXi code name, is expected to be available in car showrooms and automobile market by 2019.
The intended release of Carlino QXi addresses Hyundai's need to gain a more competitive advantage and be at par with big brands such as Maruti, Suzuki, Brezza, and EcoSport of Ford. As a refresher, India was introduced to Hyundai Creta and Tucson models a few years back; so as for Hyundai to fill in the SUV gaps in its brand lineup, according to indiatoday in AutoToday.
Hyundai wants to keep up with its latest design principles. Although the small SUV model's blueprint presented during the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo looks unlikely to integrate with Fluidic Sculpture 2.0, it is still expected that the small SUV will be aligned to Hyundai's contemporary design viewpoint. But at that moment, no one can tell how Hyundai Carlino will be like until the car's final output is released, News18 reported.
The new smaller and compact Carlino QXi variants will carry both diesel and petroleum engine models. For the petroleum version, it goes with 1.0 litre turbo engine and a 1.4 litre turbo engine with U2 CRDi unit for the diesel-operated one.
As of this writing, even during the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo, there is no official announcement made yet regarding the cost it will take for someone to get the latest small SUV model in 2019. Given the quality of car models on Hyundai's brand lineup however, automobile enthusiasts just need to be ready and waiting for a competitive pricing range on Hyundai Carlino.
