The highly anticipated, seventh-generation Ford Fiesta has finally been unveiled alongside a brand new compact crossover model: Fiesta Active. Its beefed-up, SUV-like trim is said to be a perfect unification of robust SUV styling with hatchback practicality and "true Fiesta driving dynamics".
The Fiesta sub-brand is slated to expand with luxurious Vignale model joining the range, decked with quilted leather seats and a comprehensive range of kit to deal with the increasing demand of higher-end trim levels. As far as Fiesta's styling is concerned, it has come a long way over the years; however, the Blue Oval has taken things a step further with this 2017 Ford Fiesta model. Meanwhile, the current Fiesta continues to remain as the United Kingdom's best-selling car, even after eight years of existence.
Speaking of the subordinate shift in design for the 2017 Ford Fiesta, a Ford insider pointed out that it works for Volkswagen with the VW Golf, Auto Car reported. The 2017 Ford Fiesta's exterior also adopts a revolutionary redesign by sustaining its far-reaching hexagonal grill, which is now a trademark for Ford hatchbacks and sedans.
On the other hand, its headlights boast a more rounded shape as compared to the current Fiesta. The supermini, up for grabs in three and five-door hatchback models for European consumers, gets rid of some gaudy design cues adopted in the precursor, which is still available in Thai retail showrooms, according to BangkokPost.
The 2017 Ford Fiesta retains the current Fiesta's look on its side, with the window line sweeping upwards and the roof swooping downwards. Its roof line eventually fuses with the unified rear spoiler of the car. On the rear, Ford ousted the big, teardrop-shaped tail lights for wider, two-piece clusters that spring from the tailgate onto the quarter panel.
Interestingly, Ford has rolled out four versions of the Fiesta: the Active, the ST-Line, the Vignale, and the Titanium that sports a five-bar grill coupled with foglight housings.
