Microsoft Surface Pro 5 Release Date Rumors [VIDEO]; Surface Phone 2016 Coming Next Year?

Riding on the Surface Pro 4's success, Microsoft could be gearing up to launch a new Surface Phone in the near future, according to rumors doing rounds online.

Much to the delight of gadget freaks, it looks like Microsoft chief executive Satya Nadella may have just confirmed rumors about an impending Surface Phone in an interview with The Australian Financial Review.

Interestingly, Nadella pointed out that something "unique" is in the offing during the interview.

He added that the said mobile device will also be targeting a particular set of consumers who are looking for distinct capabilities. Although Nadella did not confirm that he was referring to the Surface Phone, optimistic tech buffs believe that's the product he was talking about.

Meanwhile, Microsoft Surface Pro 5 release date is expected to arrive sooner than later.

Despite the lack of official confirmation on Microsoft Surface Pro 5 release date, there's hearsay that the highly anticipated laptop-tablet hybrid will hit the store shelves early next year.

Another reason why gadget freaks expect Microsoft Surface Pro 5 release date to be in the near future is because the tech giant has offered considerable discounts on its precursor --- the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 --- on Cyber Monday and Black Friday.

Aside from swirling speculations around Microsoft Surface Pro 5 release date, the rumor mill has been teasing an array of awe-inspiring specs for the said device.

Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is expected to pack the same RAM capacity as the tech firm's equally anticipated Surface Phone. It is also rumored to come with the same AMOLED 4K technology as well, according to PC Advisor.

Moreover, the Surface Pro 5 is expected to boast Intel's Kaby Lake chipsets, making it more powerful as compared to its competitors. The Surface Pen is slated to receive an update as well, making it more appealing and interactive.

The much-lauded accessory is also expected to come with rechargeable batteries, which can charge wirelessly when affixed to the Surface Pro 5. A 4K screen, coupled with upgraded USB Type-C ports, is likely as well.
