Ford Mustang GT Police Car: ‘Wolf Wild 5.0’ Revealed; Safety First Before Speed [VIDEO]

The new Ford Mustang GT Police Car built by Verband der Automobil Tuner (VDAT or Association of Automobile Tuners) in Germany, which was patterned after the the 6th generation Ford Mustang GT has been revealed in the 2016 Essen Motor Show.

Dubbed "Wolf Wild 5.0", this awesome looking car has been designed to promote the "Tune It! Safe It!" initiative, a movement that encourages drivers to follow safe and legal tuning practices. The car will not be used to chase criminals but it will be utilized as a promotional tool for the movement, according to MSN.

Built not for speed, the rad police car is powered by a 5.0 liter V8 engine; it has an output of 421 hp to 455 hp and top speed of 238 km/hour. However, the figures show improvement from the previous 0-100 km/hour to 0-62 km/hour in 4.3 seconds.

In fact, the Essen Motor Show where the new police car was unveiled has been a strong supporter of the movement. The police car will be exhibited in various car shows and other related events in to raise awareness regarding the "Tune It! Safe It" movement, according to Motor 1.

This German police car boasts of a 20-inchwheels and a coil over spring shock absorber that makes the ride smooth. It has a full body kit and a big rear spoiler to make it more visible on the road. With its complete police livery such as the sirens and lights and a shatter-proof window, the Ford Mustang GT Police car looks awesome, according to The Drive.

Other police cruisers built by VDAT to promote safe vehicle modifications were the BMW4-Series, the AC Schnitzer, the Corvette, the Brabus Mercedes and all-electric Mini. What is ironic though is the fact that the police may not be able to afford these too pricey cars.
