Indie studio developer Hello Games just released full patched notes in an update on "No Man's Sky", its bestselling game, calling it the Foundation Update. It contains the usual bug fixes but "the foundation for things to come" promises continued free updates built on the 1.1 patch.
The 1.1 update patch on "No Man's Sky" contains new features you'd find in an iterative update including base building and the addition of three new game modes: Normal, Creative and Survival. Besides Normal, the Creative mode removes limitations and allows free exploration, while Survival mode is a more challenging endurance experience, according to IGN.
News of the "No Man's Sky" Foundation Update patch came on the heels of controversy regarding the game. First, a fan leaked copies of the game. Then, reports of frequent crashes and much-shorter time to complete the game by reaching the center of the virtual galaxy much easier than Hello Games had claimed, has abounded. Many fans also expressed concern that the game may not be a good as they anticipated, as reported by Kotaku.
The Sky Foundation Update patch covers just about everything: Base and structure building, freighters and game modes to satisfy even the hardiest fan on both PlayStation 4 and PC. One of the most glaring errors like the ship appearing on an incorrect pad in the space station has been fixed, including the irritant part where the game always remains in daytime for players who began their save prior to patch 1.03.
Visuals and audio have also been improved, including fixing multiple issues with Asian language formatting. Overall, the Foundation update patch makes for a worthy gameplay with lots of fixes, improvements and adjustments worth looking over.
The bug fixes may finally satisfy fans of the much-hyped space game "No Man's Sky", since a lot of them were already having a meltdown last August when it was delayed, leading game director Sean Murray to tweet that he got death threats for the delay.
