2017 Ford Focus Electric Revealed; Specs, Price, and Release Date: Features Voice Recognition Entertainment

The 2017 Ford Focus Electric car is among the current electric car models to be released in 2027, and production is slated to start during the last part of 2016. Speculations regarding the latest electric car model from Ford have been going around for a while as the company has been silent about the features, price, and release date of this car.

The 2017 Ford Focus Electric is part of the Ford's plan to own 13 electric cars by 2020 and to achieve this, the company invested $4.5billion dollars in the next five years, according to Ford CEO Mark FieldsDespite lack of information, a sticker on a window of 2017 Ford Focus Electric provided additional information regarding this electric car.

The 2017 Ford Focus Electric is much faster that the older version released in 2012. While the old model has a speed of 76 miles per hour, the 2017 model has a speed of 115 miles per hour, which makes the car highly competitive, according to Green Car Reports.

An added attraction is the fast charging battery, which can recharge a battery to 80% in just 30 minutes, making it faster than the current battery charging system of Ford Focus by two hours. In addition, its battery has a range of 100 miles compared to the old range of 76 miles, according to CleanTechnica.

When it comes to the car exterior, the appearance looks highly similar to the older models, except for very few changes. It will feature 15-spoke wheels of painted aluminum and LED lights as well as HID headlights. In terms of the interior, a change in the infotainment system is expected. Instead of using the MyFord Touch system, the 2017 Ford Focus will use a Voice Recognition Entertainment and Communication System with cleaner graphics, efficient voice control and quick response to touch-screen display. Being a green car, the seats are made from recycled materials.

While the 2017 Ford Focus Electric is comparable to other electric car brands, Ford loyalists will find this vehicle an excellent buy.
