Mazada just recently announced the arrival of Mazda MX-5 Miata RF, which is set to be released sometime in February 2017. The target date appears to be two months prior to the original deployment schedule in the United States market.

The excitement gets even higher for Mazda MX-5 RF's availability; the company shared the good news of seeing the first wave of car deliveries, which are scheduled to arrive on the first days and week of December in Tacoma, Washington. The shipment update came from Jacob Brown, Mazda's spokesman.

According to Brown, around 500 Mazda MX-5 RFs (or more) are to be shipped; the sudden change of plans has been brought about by the shift in Mazda's production factory in Japan, TopSpeed reported.

Mazda MX-5 RF also serves as a replacement for the previous model's soft convertible top. As a matter of fact, during the recently held LA Auto Show, Mazda gave the opportunity to Dave Putter --- a known Miata collector --- to experience how to it feels to own, maneuver, and sit on a Mazda MX-5 RF ahead of everyone else.

It is powered by a 2.0-liter I4 engine, with a little touch of the new roof and color display on the gauge cluster. The said engine carries and generates 155 horsepower and 148 pound-feet of torque. Would that not make Dave Putter a proud owner of the first Miata in the US?

For Miata enthusiasts, the new Mazda MX-5 RF's pricing starts at $31,555. However, buyers still have the option to buy a trim-level, a manually-operated, or an automatic transmission type --- depending on their budget ---according to ROAD SHOW's blog post. 

Indeed, Mazda gave a very nice surprise on Thanksgiving; Miata lovers certainly did not expect to receive it earlier than they imagined.
