Samsung Galaxy S8 Release Date Set For Q1 2017? See Rumored Specs & Features [VIDEO]

Looks like Samsung Galaxy S8 release date is just around the corner. Samsung is leaving no stone unturned in its bid to amend the damage done to its reputation as a result of a global recall of the controversy-plagued Galaxy Note 7.

That being said, the South Korean handset maker seems bent on designing a seemingly flawless Android smartphone. If rumors doing rounds are anything to go by, Samsung is gearing up to debut the Galaxy S8 packed with an array of awe-inspiring features including an all-powerful chip.

Samsung is working in collaboration with Qualcomm to devise a super-fast chip amid the Galaxy S8 release date rumors running rampant. In fact, all upcoming smartphones from Samsung, including the Galaxy S8, will pack this next-gen chip.

This will be the first time Samsung will employ Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835, which is a 10-nanometre chip. This, in turn, makes it one of the thinnest mobile processors in the market today, according to Express. In fact, multiple reports indicate that it will be even thinner than a human hair. In other words, Samsung can design extremely thin gadgets leaving more space for additional hardware goodies.

While some tech buffs believe Samsung's next flagship smartphone will hit the store shelves in Q1 2017, the Korean tech firm has kept Samsung Galaxy S8 release date details under wraps.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Rumored Features

The Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to boast a bigger, brighter screen. The Galaxy S8 will be available in two versions including a standard Samsung Galaxy S8 featuring a 5.7-inch and the Galaxy S8 plus that will sport a mammoth 6.2-inch almost edge-to-edge display.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to up the ante with a 4K resolution of 3,840×2,160 pixels. This is a huge bump from its precursor, the Galaxy S7's current resolution which is 2,560×1,440 pixel, according to CNet.

Based on speculations surrounding the Samsung Galaxy S8 release date and other features, optimistic Galaxy fans believe that the company's next flagship smartphone will feature a super-intelligent AI voice assistant called Bixby.
