2016 Los Angeles Auto Show Recap: All The New Cars Including Honda Civic Si And Alfa Romeo Stelvio

The 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show may not have the same importance as other prominent auto show throughout the year such as the Paris and Detroit, however, it does not disappoint with its share of amazing cars showcased, debuts as well as some innovative surprises.

Up to 50 new products and more than 20 world premieres, here are the best cars that grace the LA Auto Show last week.

Jaguar I-Pace Concept

The Jaguar I-Pace was one of the major showcased at the LA Auto Show, the prototype that anticipates the future version of the Jaguar-electric production. This will feature a specially developed frame, which will house the batteries under the passenger compartment and have two electric motors, totalling to 400hp and is said to have a range of around 500km.

2017 Volkswagen E-Golf

Volkswagen presented the new facelift of the Golf a few days before the event and its electric version debut at the LA Auto Show. Porsche 911 RSR GTE

Porsche presented its new weapon in racing, the umpteenth version of competition based of the 911, which breaks all molds when installing an engine six four-liter ahead of the rear axle, from rear engine configuration to the central engine. The new regulations FIA GT allows Porsche Motorsport to be able to approve this beast of 510hp in the WEC, the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the Weathertech IMSA Championship, according to USA Today.

2017 Honda Civic Si

Lamborghini Huracan LP580-2 Spyder

Another of the surprises of the hall and one of the most spectacular and flashy models. Lamborghini combined open body Huracan with rear traction mechanical platform Huracan LP580-2. Like the closed rear-drive coupe version, the new Huracan LP580-2 Spyder has a specific front, plus 30 horses less power compared to the four-wheel drive, according to Business Insider.

2017 Mazda CX-5

Mazda presented the new generation of the CX-5 in the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show, a complete makeover for the model that is garnering a lot of success. It will have a mechanical range consists of two petrol engines and a diesel engine that surprised the American public considering the diesel scandal.

Mercedes-Maybach S 650 Cabriolet

The new luxury division Mercedes-Benz presented in Los Angeles its new model, the first two-door and convertible of the Maybach. Only 300 lucky owners can have these luxury convertibles based on the Class S Cabriolet.

Jewel: Alfa Romeo Stelvio

Although many new features were presented at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show there is no doubt that a particular vehicle shines above all, as expected, the Alfa Romeo Stelvio, the first SUV brand of the Italian firm. The Stelvio part of the architecture of the new Giulia sedan, albeit with a modified and high version. It has rear-wheel drive versions and AWD, with theoretically a diesel engine of 180 hp 2.2-liter and 2.0-liter mechanical 200, 250 and 280 hp.
