It's typical for Mercedes to manufacture a luxury car, but the German car maker is bent on upping the ante in the luxury car market.
Mercedes is set to take the luxury car segment by storm with a super exclusive enhanced version of the swank Mercedes S-class Cabriolet, the new Maybach S650 Cabriolet.
Though packed with bevies of awe-inspiring elements, the car's top feature is its exclusivity as only 300 of these gorgeous machines are being made. Just 75 of these distinctively numbered cars will hit the retail showrooms in the U.S.
Simply by virtue of being an augmented variant of the already-expensive Mercedes S-class Cabriolet, this car is expected to bear a steep price tag of around $300,000.
Notably, this is not the most expensive automobile up for grabs; however, Mercedes is leaving no stone unturned in its bid to make it one of the most enticing vehicle by beefing it up with jaw-dropping design and awe-inspiring specs under the hood, Engadget reported.
The only other vehicle from Mercedes to bear nearly the same price tag is the Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG Cabriolet, which lists a whopping $250,000.
Although Mercedes has not officially confirmed how much the S650 Cabriolet will cost in the U.S., it is expected to cost more than its closely-related S65 AMG Cabriolet, making it the most expensive car in the Mercedes array. The S650 Cabriolet will cost 300,000 euros (about $320,000) in Europe, according to CNN Money.
The Maybach convertible is basically another variety of the S65 AMG Cabriolet, with a focus on luxury as well as top-notch performance.
The Mercedes-Maybach S650 Cabriolet packs a robust 621 horsepower turbocharged V-12 engine. Aside from model-exclusive special paint colors including red, white and blue, there are several decorative components including Maybach logo badges.
But that's not all; buyers will receive a set of luggage manufactured from the exact leather used on the vehicle's seats.
