Renault revealed at the Sao Paulo Motor Show 2016 its off-road version of the Duster, which is the Dacia Duster, as known in the UK, as the Duster Extreme, according to AutoExpress. The extensive off-road makeover design was given by Renault's Latin American Design Division.

Duster Extreme was given a lift by the BF Goodrich tires wrapped around the black center locking steel wheels. With the rugged big off-road tires gives the ride an added height, the wheel arches were also given a tough look with black plastic cladding reinforcements. It is an extreme off-roader with a cosmetic and mechanical makeover.

The Design Division gave the Duster new bumpers with skid plates, tow hooks both in front and in the back, a front winch, a chunky black and red roof rack, and a snorkel exhaust the is located on the roof with mounted LED light bar. Gray exterior paint schemes with red inserts are the featured as on of the extreme concept, according to Autocar India. There are also notable red inserts around the cabin, "EXTREME" lettering in the dashboard and in the lower spoke of the steering the word 4WD is also embedded. The Duster Extreme's interior is the same as the production model's aside from the mentioned visual effects.

The 141 bhp 2.0 - liter fuel flex motor powers the Duster Extreme that can run on both petrol and ethanol which are not available in UK's Dacia Duster Models.
