Bentley will unveil its new Continental GT Speed at the Moscow International Auto Show on August 29; and just released in the meantime the technical details. Here are just a few details of the car that goes on sale next month and is Bentley's fastest production car ever.

The GT Speed receives 205 horsepower, and is capable of going from 0 to 60 mph in 4 seconds and 0 to 100 mph in 9 seconds. This is made possible by a much higher-torque 6-litre twin-turbo W12 engine than the standard Continental GT possesses, a new ZF eight-speed close-ratio automatic transmission, and advanced engine management software.

The Continental GT's aluminum double wishbone front suspension and trapezoidal multi-link rear setup remain in the GT Speed; but the all-wheel drive GT Speed has a lower chassis than its standard counterpart, with stiffer suspension and enhanced spring, steering, and damping systems.

Enhancements are not just limited to its performance. It is 12 percent more efficient in fuel economy and CO2 emissions than any other two-door Bentley.

The GT Speed's Electronic Stability Control (ESC) system has been modified for greater wheel slip at high speed and greater torque recoup after a system intervention. It also has enhanced steering and brakes.

Exterior departures from the standard Continental are exclusive wheel design and exhaust tailpipes, and a darker-tint radiator matrix and front bumper grille, all of which are designed to give it a more formidable appearance. It has standard chrome bezels, which have also been introduced on the Continental GT and GTC.

In the passenger area, the GT Speed has as standard Bentley's Mulliner Driving Specification, and as an option exclusive to it a Dark Tint Aluminum dashboard and consoles.

The GT Speed serves as a reminder that Bentley has a proud racing heritage dating back to the 1920s.
