Infiniti Displays Emerge-e and LE Concepts, Red Bull Racecar, and 2013 IPL G Convertible at Concours d’Elegance; See Video

Infiniti is putting several of its most distinctive vehicles on display this weekend at the 62nd Annual Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.

One is the Emerge-e Concept (see video), which makes its North American debut. The others are the LE Concept luxury electric vehicle, the Red Bull Racing Formula 1 showcar, and the all-new 2013 IPL G Convertible. The cars will be at the Infiniti Moments of Inspiration display located at the top of Peter Hay Hill.

"It is always an honor to be included among the prestigious activities during the week of the Pebble Beach Concours and this year we're bringing our most advanced concept ever," Ben Poore, vice-president of Infiniti Americas, said in a statement. "Named 'Best in Show' at this year's Geneva Motor Show, Infiniti Emerg-e truly is one of the most technically interesting and artfully sculpted automobiles in the world today. It is a major achievement in both engineering and design."

The Emerge-e is a 402-horsepower mid-engined twin-electric motor-powered mid-ship sports car capable of 0-60 in four seconds and 0-130 in 30 seconds; all while having the capability of emitting zero carbons over a 30-mile range.

Infiniti recently announced that the LE Concept will serve as the basis for a car to go into production in 2014.

The LE Concept maximizes passenger-compartment space and helps provide a low vehicle center of gravity by placing the lithium-ion batteries under the compartment floor.

The sedan includes next-generation instrumentation, driver interface, and a built-in wireless charging system that Infiniti expects to be the first home-based wireless charging system.

The Red Bull Racing Team is Infiniti's racing partner. The team won the 2010 and 2011 World Championships with Sebastian Vettel behind the wheel.

The 2013 IPL G Convertible has a 343-horsepower 3.7-liter V6, 7-speed automatic transmission with IPL-tuned suspension and sport brakes.
