Toyota today announced the 2013 manufacturer's suggested retail prices (MSRP) for the FJ Cruiser, the 4Runner mid-size SUVs, the Highlander and Highlander Hybrid crossover SUVs, the Sequoia large SUV, and the Tundra full-size pickup.
The FJ cruiser will now have standard daytime running lights and power mirrors with illuminated markers. There will be some changes to the color scheme, with Magma replacing Radiant Red and Cement Gray replacing Silver Fresco Metallic.
Buyers of the FJ cruiser can expect to pay from $26,880 for the two-wheel drive with five-speed automatic transmission to $28,470 for the four-wheel drive automatic. The prices reflect an average overall increase of $765, or 2.8 percent, over 2012.
The fifth-generation 4Runner remains unchanged, except for the SR5 grade transfer case having a switch instead of a lever, and the USB port moving from the glove compartment to the lower center stack.
The MSRP will range from $31,340 for the SR5 two-wheel drive to $40,880 for the four-wheel drive Limited. The prices reflect an average overall increase of $305, or 0.9 percent.
The prices for the 2013 FJ Cruiser and 4Runner take effect immediately.
The Toyota Highlander is available in a new optional Highlander Plus grade that contains the features of the discontinued Tech and Cold Weather packages, along with added features such as a rear back-up camera.
The Highlander and Highlander Hybrid will feature upgraded standard and optional infotainment technology, with display audio becoming standard on Highlander, SE, and Highlander Plus grades. Highlander Hybrid will now include standard display audio with navigation and the Entune multimedia package.
The Highlander MSRP will begin at $28,870 for the Highlander grade front-wheel drive with a four-cylinder engine to $39,250 for the Highlander Limited four-wheel drive V6, representing an average overall increase of $1,037, or 3.1 percent on existing Highlander models.
Highlander's 2013 prices take effect August 27, when production begins.
The Highlander Hybrid's base MSRP will begin at $39,970 for the Base grade to $46,170 for the Limited grade, representing an average overall increase of $1,527.50, or 3.6 percent.
The 2013 Highlander Hybrid prices take effect with the start of production on August 20.
The Sequoia will see changes in its entertainment features in 2013. It will include a Blue-ray rear-seat entertainment system, and optional Toyota Entune.
Sequoia is available in SR5, Limited, and Platinum grades. The 381-hp 5.7-liter V8 standard that was previously optional becomes standard, while the 310-hp 4.6-liter V8 has been discontinued.
The MSRP for the 2013 Sequoia starts at $41,955 for the SR5 two-wheel drive to $62,570 for the Platinum grade four-wheel drive. The price range represents an average overall increase of $580, or 1.1 percent.
Sequoia's 2013 prices begin when production does on August 27.
For the 2013 Tundra, the Platinum Package that was available for the Tundra CrewMax Limited in 2012 now becomes a full model grade. The Platinum Grade offers comfort features such as heated and ventilated front bucket seats, driver's seat two-position memory feature, DVD navigation system, power tilt/slide moonroof with sliding sunshade, and wood-grain-style interior trim.
The base MSRP for the 2013 Tundra begins at $25,355 for the Tundra grade two-wheel drive Regular Cab 4.0-liter V6, to $43,795 for the Limited grade CrewMax four-wheel drive 5.7-liter V8. The MSRP's reflect an average overall increase of $200, or 0.6 percent.
Tundra's 2013 prices go into effect with the start of production on August 31.
