Rumors have surfaced about the 2018 Dodge Charger Daytona being the redemption of the franchise from being phased out from production. Despite its unsuccessful performance with respect to its weight and common platform, the said muscle car would have better performance features along with an all-wheel drive upgrade and would be more fuel-efficient.

FCA Group initially announced that the Charger franchise would get an upgrade with respect to its performance level along with the implementation of an all-wheel drive function as its new platform.
The 2018 Dodge Charger Daytona platform would be developed by the European FCA Group who will create a unique, impressive, a fresh take on the muscle car. It would serve as the competitor against the CTS and other European sedans in the market, according to Cars Lane.
The latest version of the vehicle would be installed with a four-cylinder petrol engine, powered by a 2L petrol unit with two turbochargers, was said to generate 300hp, and would be more fuel efficient than its predecessors.
The vehicle would possibly be installed with the same technological features like that of the 2017 Dodge Charger Daytona such as the Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning-Plus that has autonomous braking features, alerts, and allows the driver to be on full stop when in a dangerous state.
While the 2018 Dodge Charger is under works, the 2017 Dodge Charger Daytona is currently on sale whose features could be found in the upcoming version. It is powered with 5.7L Hemi and is available with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Furthermore, it also has 2.75in active exhaust system, a Mopar cold air intake package, 2.62 rear gear ratio, was installed with the Super Track Pak that improved the vehicle's performance brake pads, sport-tuned suspension, and included Goodyear Eagle F1 tires and 20in wheels., according to Torque News.
Its interiors were made from Nappa leather particularly the seats while the Daytona logo was embroidered onto the seatback.
