2017 Dodge Challenger Is Now On All-Wheel Drive, Specs Revealed Here

It has been a routine assembly production style for the 2017 Dodge Challenger to have a rear-wheel drive feature. However, recently, the Chevrolet Camaro rival has been winning the sales count due to its all-wheel drive feature. With that, Dodge has lodged the same feature to its muscle car flagship model. What are the specs?

It has been a tradition for the brand to create the 2017 Dodge Challenger model to be like its brother, the Dodge Charger muscle car. However, for next year, the company has decided to make the model more competitive against the top-selling muscle car of this year, the all-wheel drive Chevrolet Camaro model.

The brand new 2017 Dodge Challenger will have a roll-out of production for all-wheel drive vehicles. In fact, it has basically-production-spec V6 all-wheel drive Chally was featured at SEMA 2015. With that, fans of the model had been expecting an upcoming concept car with an all-wheel drive feature, according to Jalopnik.

What Improved For The Muscle Car

Previous reports have revealed that Ford would make the GT have better mpg ratings and would be added with an all-wheel drive feature to make it more competitive in the market. In fact, the model has received an economy rating of 18 for a city drive and 27 for the highway drive. Compared to the rear-wheel version of the model, it improved to 19 for the city, 30 for the highway, and 23 for combined drive.

The said announcement for the 2017 Dodge Challenger modifications was accidentally revealed by the US Environmental Protection Agency when it posted fuel economy figured for the all-wheel drive version, according to Auto Blog. What did they reveal?

The Specs

The 2017 Dodge Challenger would be powered by a 3.6L V6 engine. Despite the reveal, the company has not made official announcements about this information. However, it was reported that the said developments had been deemed an expected move for Ford.
