Classic car fans have been anticipating which models would be showcased in the upcoming Auctions America's Hilton Head auction. One of the participants in the upcoming event is the unique 1973 Porsche 914 model which boasts of varied specs from iconic brands. What are the features?
The vehicle has been expected to cater to Chevrolet's impressive 375 horsepower-yielding engine features. On top of which, the Porsche 914 vehicle would also have an FCA characteristic particularly its grille and headlights that were reported to be taken from the Chrysler 300M model. It would likewise have the fifth-generation Chevrolet taillights on top of the Ferrari Testarossa engine compartment, according to Car and Driver.
Despite many parts of the vehicle being taken from iconic models in the classic cars industry, it was said to retain its Targa bar which has been modified with a roll hoop along with its swapped suspension for the stouter 911 model.
The said vehicle was reported to start assembly by Karmann in Osnabruck bodybuilder. After the Porsche 914 was featured at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the VW-Porsche 914/4 vehicle along with its brother, Porsche 914/6 would be installed with the Porsche 911 T engine which is powered by 2.0L Flat 6 engine, according to 41 Legend.
It was said that the Porsche 914 vehicle has excellent handling features but its four-cylinder engine was said to have a sporty character to it.
