Nissan's pickup has the Chevrolet Silverado, Ram 1500, Ford's F-150 and Toyota's Tundra are its known rivals. Observers can't help but noticed the similarity of the 2017 Nissan Titan new look to these trucks when it was unveiled this year.
The 2017 Nissan Titan, aside from its looks and performance hasn't changed much. It still has four doors, roomy cargo space and a V6 engine to be unveiled soon.
According to Nissan, the Titan will start at $34,780. It now has a V8 engine with a 390-horsepower output. It will also have an automatic 7-speed transmission. This price is considerably very competitive compared to other trucks.
The Nissan Titan Platinum Reserve is priced at $55,400. The Chevrolet Silverado High Country at $54,525. The Ram 1500 Larami Longhorn's price is $52,795. Whereas, last but not the least the Toyota Tundra will be at $50,030.
The Nissan comes with a premium version. The 2017 Nissan Titan Pro-4X XD comes at around 47,480, according to Forbes. The 2017 Honda Ridgeline is a close rival at around $37,485.
This beats the Chevrolet's Silverado with only 355 horsepower and the Toyota Tundra at 381 horsepower. The Ram 1500 remains ahead, however, with a 395 horsepower.
The V8 engine translates into a 394 LB-ft torque power at 4,000 rpm. As for fuel economy, the Titan fares at 15 mpg in the city and 21 on the highway. Combined it has 18 mpg.

The F-150 by Ford may have been its closest rival. However, there are reports that the truck's production has been on hold due to a low-demand. Ford's F-150 comes with a 3.5 L twin turbo V6 engine. It was rated at 9,230 pounds. This is way lesser compared to the other pickups in its league.
The 2017 Nissan Titan upgrades proved it is stern in competing in the mid-size truck segment. Though not always at the top, Nissan has surely proven itself a contender in all vehicle segments to date.
In fact, to keep up with the hybrid and EV hype, it recently launched a hybrid version of its best-selling SUV, the 2017 Nissan Rogue.
