Ken Block and his updated Hoonicorn Ford Mustang was filmed by the guys at Toyo Tires drifting at the legendary American Hill Peak Pikes. Ken Block Hoonicorn which now have a beastly 1400 horsepower is ready for the Gymkhana 10 which will arrive summer of 2017. This drifting video at Peak pikes is the teaser trailer which has been dubbed as the "Climbkhana".
Ken Block has a long career as a professional driver in American Rally competing in the WRC and rallycross, but if there's something that made him famous, it's his crazy antics and adventurous driving stunts showed on his Gymkhana Youtube Series in recent years.
The latest example was the Gymkhana Nine, in which Block returned to his roots with a less spectacular production in visual and richer terms in maneuvering the controls of the Ford Focus RS RX held in a factory and an abandoned port. It was the same vehicle Block used as the racing Ford Performance Car in the World Rallycross. As of this writing, the Gymkhana 9 already gathered more than 13million views on Youtube.
And as reported last week, Block decided to prepare something very special on the next Gymkhana series and it's with his popular Hoonicorn, according to Ford Authority. The bad news is that Block fans need to wait until summer of 2017 for the Gymkhana 10.
With the success of Gymkahan 9, Ken Block has realized the need to innovate and there was no best way to do so than on his famous Hoonicorn which appeared at Gymkahana 7. A renewed 1965 Ford Mustang Hoonicoorn V2 was reborn and has gone from 850 to 1400 horsepower all thanks to the installation of a large twin - turbo V8 engine in its 6.7 liters.
Block said this figure has chilling power and this is shown on the newly release video by Toyo Tires under the name of Climbkhana. With Ken Block as a pilot, the Hoonicorn mustang faced Pikes Peak and has done so with perfectly demonstrated drift, according to Top Gear.
It is obvious that Block will not reach the time made by Sébastien Loeb with a Peugeot 208 T16 and remains the absolute record of the climb to Pikes Peak since 2013, but surely the Ford Mustang Hoonicorn V2 leaves us magical and spectacular show in each drift.
