DeLorean Motor Company has officially announced the rebirth of the icon DeLorean DMC-12. The legendary car that became famous for his appearance in the movie saga "Back to the Future" back to life is one of the most sought out car that already went out of production. Since last summer it ha already been reported that the production of the new DeLorean DMC-12 will begin later this year. And now, the manufacturer confirms that reservations had already been opened for this icon car in the world of cinema and automotive history.

For those who are interested in acquiring the new DMC-12, the boys of DeLorean Motor Company invite you to register through the form on their official website and be one of the first candidates to get one of the first manufactured units. It is worth noting though that this is not a firm booking as a deposit was not requested and the final specifications of the vehicle and its configuration options have not been revealed yet.

Another step in booking the Delorean will come sooner for those who reserved their units.

DeLorean DMC-12: Catch it While It Last

The initial production volume of the new DeLorean will only be few, according to CNET. The company expects to construct only one car per month. However, the manufacturer explains that once they start the marketing process and have a clear picture of the actual demand that the 2017 DeLorean DMC-12 has, it may raise its production capacity to four units per month (one per week).

Each DeLorean DMC-12 2017 is produced using parts and components of the original model and it is expected that there are enough parts to manufacture up to 300 units. So interested buyers should catch it while they can.
