Mercedes-Benz is one of the top leading automotive developers and suppliers. Over the years, it never seizes to amaze customers and automotive fans. Nevertheless, Mercedes-Benz continued each year to focus on a new kind of spectrum that will completely change the outlook of cars.

What the Fuss is All About:

Mercedes-Benz is planning to develop yet another fast car from the AMG series. AMG R50 will be the highlight of the hypercar to be developed for the AMG's 50th Anniversary.

What Should Be Expected:

There are so many speculations as to what the design and mechanics of the car would be, but according to Maxim, Mercedes-AMG R50 will be a road-proselyte with the modified 1.6 turbocharged V6 hybrids. The same specification as the one developed for Formula 1. Also, AMG is a beast on 2.0-liter turbo four, with an output of 1000 Horsepower. AMG R50 should be able to go beyond 60 mph in two seconds and acceleration speed going on top of over 220 mph.

The Specification

Mercedes-Benz AMG R50 will be built on a Carbon Fiber based monocoque chassis and tuned by Lotus. The hypercar is a four-wheel drive, just like the previous release that debuted AMG GT-R, and the overall profile is inspired by the blueprint of race cars. This is just a sneak peak of what is about to be developed in the near future, and as for the interiors, no details have been leaked to the public yet.

The Price Tag and Release Date

Just like any other race car, the Mercedes AMG R50 won't fall behind. The AMG will be priced around $2 million to $3 million, it will be one of the most expensive cars that will be released in 2017.
