Subaru Turbo Wagon: Try Before You Buy For 1 Year - On 1 Condition

In what can be considered as an unprecedented marketing move, Subaru is now offering its new Subaru Turbo Wagon to prospective buyers to test drive for an entire year. This has been made possible thanks to a new-found partnership between Subaru Australia and car-sharing firm DriveMyCar that will let users rent the car for 7 to 365 days.

However, the offer is only available in Brisbane and Sydney, with seven of the car being made available in Sydney and another three in Brisbane. Registered DriveMyCar users will be able to search for cars with those located in the vicinity of Brisbane and Sydney having the option to rent the new Levorg wagon.

All the rentals are inclusive of insurance charges that include damage, theft and roadside assistance, Torque News reported. Normal rental charges are applicable, which includes $53 per day. That comes to $370 a week, which is the minimum hiring period that one can opt for.

Of course, automakers offer complimentary test drives though those are for short duration and are almost always under the supervision of dealer representatives. In such a scenario, renting the new Subaru Turbo Wagon can't exactly be termed a test drive. That said, opting for the Levorg wagon still makes sense considering that getting to live with the car will let future buyers a far better insight of the car than is otherwise possible.

While this also provides Subaru with an excellent opportunity to showcase its car to the widest possible consumer base, to have on offered the latest car will also work towards enhancing the profile of DriveMyCar. As Gizmodo reported, DriveMyCar has seen its popularity soar in recent times, with 61 percent rise in rentals compared to last year.

Apart from the Subaru Turbo Wagon, the automaker also stated they are contemplating offering its Forester, Outback and Crosstrek all-wheel-drive vehicles as well in future if the present arrangement works out well enough.
