Elton John Slams Madonna; Shows the Love for Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Rihanna

In a TV interview, Elton John uttered extremely choice words for fellow superstar Madonna, while testifying his love for lesser luminaries.

The interview was for the Australian TV show "Sunday Night".

"She's such a nightmare. Her career is over, I can tell you that," he said to interviewer and old friend Molly Meldrum. "Her tour is a disaster and it couldn't happen to a bigger c---."

"If Madonna had any common sense, she would have made a record like Ray of Light, stayed away from the dance stuff and just been a great pop singer and made great pop records, which she does brilliantly," he continued. "But no, she had to prove that she was like...And she looks like a f---ing fairground stripper."

Lest anyone think he has a problem with female singers, he rattled off a list of several he thinks are divine.

"I love Gaga. She's the real deal," John said, of Lady Gaga, the singer Madonna has accused of copying her. "Katy Perry's fabulous. She sat with me at the Oscar party, I love her, and I love Rihanna."

John holds Lady Gaga in such high estimation that he made her one of the godmothers to Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John, the son he shares with domestic partner David Furnish. Zachary, now a toddler, was born via surrogate in California in December 2010.

"She's amazing," John said. "Wherever she is in the world, she sends texts saying 'How is he?' She comes and bathes him, she sings to him. She's a good godmother, she really pays attention."
