F1 News: Hulkenberg-Renault Partnership Win-Win for Both Sides? [PHOTO & VIDEOS]

In the latest F1 News, Nico Hulkenberg has stated that he was "very happy" to join the team. He also added that it had "always been a dream" to be with a manufacturer's team. The soon to be Renault driver will not be held by Force India, despite the one-year remainder of contract with them. The team also disclosed that they respect Hulkenberg's decision. They have decided to release him from his contract by Friday.

How long is Hulkenberg's contract with Renault?

The partnership will last for two years. The BBC reported that the contract involved a $20 m salary. Previous F1 drivers include Michael Schumacher. He had paved the path for fellow Germans to dominate int he race fields. The latter has helped increase the public's fervor towards F1 racing.

Why did Renault partner with the incumbent Force India driver?

In more F1 News, according to Renault's chairman, Jerome Stoll, the reason behind the selection for the 29-year-old pro driver because the group feels he's "an experienced driver who is still hungry for podiums." The second seat, however, remains vacant to date. Right now, the drivers are Kevin Magnussen and Jolyon Palmer. Pascal Wehrlein and Esteban Ocon are also on the roster.

What were the recent races Nico Hulkenberg joined?

He has recently joined the Malaysian Grand Prix, held last Oct. 2. The 29-year-old professional driver also joined a race, last Oct 9. This was for the Japanese Grand Prix. he is set to race for the US Grand Prix, this upcoming 24th.

Back in 2009, he became the champion of the GP2 Series. He has joined the ranks of Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg. He was also previously a Formula 3 Euro Series, A1 Grand Prix champ. he also joined the A1 Team Germany. His first Formula One race was back in 2010. Until now former F1 driver Michael Schumacher’s health continues to deteriorate. This partnership is hopefully a true win-win situation for both sides. And that's the latest in the F1 News.
