The mansion of model and actress Miranda Kerr was broken into on Friday morning around 11:30 in Malibu, California. The intruder was said to have jumped over the electric fence to get into the property.
Both the intruder and the bodyguard got into a fight and hustled on the ground. The intrusion caused a violent incident that hospitalized two men. Kerr's bodyguard was stabbed in the eye while the intruder received multiple gun shots.
Paramedics rushed to the scene after being called and were able to airlift the two men. Both were brought to the same hospital and were said to be stable and out of danger. Although it was said that the intruder was allegedly shot in the head, medical reports so far have mentioned that they will soon recover in no time.
A number of Sherriff's vehicles appeared at the crime scene, as some of the inspectors were seen marking the mansion and interviewing possible witnesses. According to the neighbors, they heard the intruder shouting on the coast of the Pacific Highway and believed that the intruder was, in fact, a homeless man.
Kerr currently resides in the Malibu mansion with her five-year-old son, Flynn, her son with fellow actor Orlando Bloom. They both split after three years of marriage. Her son Flynn was not present during the time of the incident. The model was last spotted on Sunday evening in Malibu leaving Soho House after she had dinner with a couple of her friends.
The actress bought the house last 2014 after her divorce with Orlando Bloom. "It needed a lot of work, but it had a great view. It wasn't right on the water, so it was protected and very private," Kerr said during a magazine interview. It remains to be seen whether or not the actress will still be living in the mansion after the incident.
