An idea submitted by a fan of the famous music band, The Beatles, has resulted in the creation of a game set by Lego for the enjoyment of fans everywhere. Lego company designed and developed the game from the 1968 film titled "Yellow Submarine," featuring The Beatles.
The Beatles music band was made up of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Star and the band took the world by storm in the early '60s. The Lego Beatle's Yellow Submarine set features the characters of the four musicians, and they together with their submarine could be assembled together from the Lego game that comprises over 550 blocks.
Lego has a section known as Lego Ideas, where people could suggest ideas for games and other Lego creations. A fan of The Beatles had submitted the idea for the Yellow Submarine and the company had snapped it up and come out with the fantastic creation. The tiny figures of the band members are complete with their outfits, hairstyles, and other personal attributes that tell them apart.
It costs $60 to own a set and it will begin to be available from November 1.
The Beatles Yellow Submarine set was first designed by Kevin Szeto, who disclosed he had always been fascinated by the enigmatic band. So he had initially designed the set as a way of paying tribute to them.
The Lego project eventually became "a dream come true" with the final work of Justin Ramsden, who designed the models in Lego form from the original design initiated by Szeto. "I'm also a massive fan of The Beatles having grown up with their music all my life, so to see The Beatles in Lego form is a dream come true," he confessed.
Starting November, people will be able to buy The Beatles Yellow Submarine Lego set from Lego Stores and other major retailers around the country.
