Tech giant Apple is looking into expanding their line of Mac Book Pro laptops by collaborating with a new partner in what seems to be one of the company's boldest moves.

Reports from Slashgear indicate that Apple has been in talks with Sonder, a company who is now absorbed under Foxconn. The rumored partnership was confirmed by a Sonder spokesperson who said that the company indeed has met with Apple's procurement committee and has presented some of their possible mockups for the upcoming collaboration.

Another tipster who goes by the name of 'Foxconninsider' further fueled speculations of the Apple-Sonder deal, Trusted Reviews reports. According to the informant, the two companies have already met at Tsinghua University in China wherein potential designs were indeed discussed.

Sonder is a startup enterprise from Australia who is hugely known in the tech world for its innovative keyboard designs.

Apple's possible collaboration with Sonder will probably result into integrating their keyboards to the upcoming Mac Book Pro line of laptops. In particular, Sonder's E-Ink technology will be employed to offer a whole new and more flexible experience for users.

The E-Ink technology customizes the look of your keyboard depending on how you will be using it. For example, shortcut keys for graphic design tools (for example Adobe Photoshop) would appear while you are using the said software.

Should the partnership commence, the two companies are seeing at a launching the first ever E-Ink laptop through the new Mac Book Pro as well as pioneering a whole new landscape for computing that has never been seen before. This is similar to Apple's introduction of a touch-based interface for their laptops.

This move is also regarded as Apple's attempt to tap into the gaming market with other emerging brands like Razer and SteelSeries. With computer unit sales leaning towards gaming equipment, the company is ensuring that it won't be left behind and this innovation may just be a start of exciting things to come.
