2017 Honda NSX Acura Coupe Draws' Humming Bird' Nazca Lines [PHOTOS & VIDEO]

The video's prelude included a text reference towards massive drawings created by ancient civilizations. These are collectively known and famously referred to as the 'Nazca Lines.' The 2017 Honda NSX Acura recreates these images, alongside engineering support. The chosen venue was the desert-like place in El Mirage, California.

The Honda NSX Acura driver was assisted by a team of able engineers and technicians. They are seen monitoring by the sidelines on the video. The driver was not identified. However, he was described as an 'extremely talented test driver.' The task was not easy. It was a one-time attempt over 963 meters long of the area. This was 10 times bigger than the ninety-three original image.

There were other Nazca line drawings. It was not disclosed why Honda has chosen the 'hummingbird.'

In order to keep the geoglyph as close as to its original, the technical team had a digital map mounted into the driver's display. The driver's mounted display was also a way for the engineers to keep track of their driver's progress.

There were 30 hairpin turns made. The final created design was 601,195 sqm. As a result, it looks impressively resembles the original 'Hummingbird Nazca line' in Peru. The original drawing has survived for thousands of years. Honda's drawing, unfortunately, will not last as long.

Recently, an unexpected marketing ploy was also pulled by Porsche. It paraded two of its famous model in the streets of London. It was the Porsche Le Mans 919 and the Panamera 4-E hybrids.

The Porsche 919 Le Mans was driven by ex-Formula One driver, Mark Webber. The graced through famed city landmarks. The car in itself was a spectacle for Londoners and tourists alike.

These are just two of the recent marketing stints by carmakers this year. Not to be left out, Jaguar Landrover recently hired Gorillaz band member, Noodle as its flagship endorser.

These carmakers are getting more created in their marketing strategies. However, it seemed that their fellow carmakers in the US are yet to be expected of similar acts.
