Microsoft Teases 3D Version of Paint for Windows 10 - Details Here

The new update rollout for Windows 10 comes with some hefty updates - one of which is the long overdue upgrade for the classic app Paint.

Forbes recently featured the revamped Paint app during their Microsoft Mondays wherein they highlighted the brand new additions to the program that every computer-using human has ever used. Writing for the magazine, contributor Amit Chowdry said that the despite the new 3D feature, the app will still contain all the conventional tools that we grew up with so it will not be an entirely new experience to users.

The 3D feature of Paint also comes with handy tools like 3D models, 2D images, and stickers that can be freely used to produce any kind of 3D graphics that you want.

Based on its functionalities, it seems like the Windows 10 version of Paint is directed towards devices with touch capabilities and those that rely on the stylus.

A couple of videos showcasing the capabilities of Paint have also been released to tease the upgraded app further. One of them shows touch-screen graphic artist Paul Kercal as he demonstrates the usage of Paint's Smart Select and Make 3D feature.

With the Smart Select functionality, 2D illustrations can be transformed to 3D images thus allowing users to adjust them in and out of your digital canvas freely. The Make 3D also features a number of downloadable content from Paint's online community.

According to PCMag, this updated version of Paint has been the talk of the town for quite some time now. It was first leaked last May and now that a huge chunk of it is available for the world to see, it's most likely that the app will be launched to the public sooner.

A possible date of Paint's formal revelation maybe on Window's upcoming event on October 26th. Along with this is the introduction of the new Surface mouse and keyboard that will complement with the app.
