2018 Ford Mustang: Specs, Upgrades, And More!

Hail spy shots! A camouflaged 2018 Ford Mustang was seen out on streets for a test drive. Although Ford Motor Company made sure the details were well covered, it was quite obvious that there were major changes with respect to the muscle car's exterior design along with its transmission changes. What's new for the 'Stang?

Parading in the streets of the America show, the brand new 2018 Ford Mustang was spotted going out for a test drive two days ago. Although it was covered from the inside with eye-distracting vinyl, the lucky spotter pointed out the drastic changes to the muscle car's exteriors along with its transmission updates.

The Model Upgrades

As reported by Auto Blog, the 2018 Ford Mustang prototype's hood seemed to have a clear bump which indicated that there were powertrain improvements under the hood. Also, the size and positioning of the bulge pointed out it the updated model could roar louder than usual. Its grille opening positioning also showed it's lower than usual which could possibly indicate the muscle car to be faster than ever.

Other specifications suggested maybe the 2018 Ford Mustang will reintroduce the hood-mounted gauges like that of the Pontiac GTO. However, no confirmation as to its viability was visible from the spy shots.

The Items

As was revealed from the photos, the 2018 Ford Mustang was added with Brembo brakes but retained its sticky tires and spoilers. Also, as was seen last month, the exhaust showed there was emissions testing equipment attached to it that indicated the powertrain is totally improved.

Availability

In other news, GT Spirit revealed the model to be up and ready for purchase come 2017. Although the changes seen from the spy shots were not transparent as hoped, the said model was suggested to be a part of the special editions of the franchise along with various trim packages like that of the Mach 1.

The 2018 Ford Mustang would also have a more complex feature wherein a 10-speed automatic gearbox was apparent. Meaning, the fans of the powerhouse muscle car may purchase it via manual or automatic - whichever fits the preference best.
