Is the Tesla Model 3 worth a two-year wait? Do you feel like your money is getting tied-up for too long? You are not the only one who feels this way.
Here Are the Reasons Why Others Have Cancelled Their Tesla Model 3 Orders
1. This will not be the first time Tesla Motors has delayed their delivery or release date.
It has been reported that Elon Musk have missed 30% of their publicly announced targets or goals. The EV maker has missed its delivery target for two consecutive quarters. Other than the Model 3, the Model S and X release dates have also been pushed back as well.
2. They feel like their money is getting tied-up for too long
Let's face it not everyone can afford a Tesla. Hence, everyone squabbled to place their reservations for the Model 3. The electric carmaker had aimed to build a car for the masses. This could be their first and last model for that market.
Their money is really getting tied up for too long. The $1,000 reservation fee could go a long way in a span for two years. This could have been better put in the bank and earn at least 1.05 % or 1.12 % interest per year.
3. There are other EV cars available NOW
Another car manufacturers have just unveiled their Tesla Model 3 killers. Renault's ZOE is already available right after its Paris Motor Show debut last week. The 2017 Nissan Leaf is also a strong contender.
Hybrids are also a steep competitor of the Model 3. The 2017 Toyota Prius is also now available. One of the key selling point of this Japanese EV is that, it can be charged using a regular household outlet.
Round Up
At this point, should you opt for a hybrid - move forward to 2021. It is still a decade away from the global initiative of phasing out fuel-powered cars by 2035. It is not a total loss. You can still manage to save from fuel compared to a regular car with a hybrid.
Right now, the key selling point of the Tesla Model 3 is its unique design. It paved the way for 'cool' looking electric cars. When the initial batch of electric cars came out, most if not all sported awkward designs. Its sleek curves, LED lights and smooth lines sets Tesla apart and ahead of its competitors.
As soon, as Tesla sort out its auto-pilot system, it would be a smooth ride for the EV car maker. Hopefully, it smoothens out its bank relations as well.
There is no turning back now. Tesla desperately needs all the help it could to deliver the Model 3. Everyone is waiting for the company's next move. We all hope the US electric car maker could deliver, as there are a lot at stake now at this point.
