Renowned car designer Henrik Fisker has recently announced that he will be returning to the auto industry with the launch of a new electronic vehicle.

Dubbed as the "spiritual successor" to his last release,the hybrid car Fisker Karma which was released in 2011, the upcoming EV will be a model that has never been seen before.

Among its features include a record-breaking 400 miles single-charge mileage. This is higher than any of the upcoming and existing EVs in the market today like Tesla's Model S (300 miles) and Ford's Bolt (235 miles).

According to Green Car Reports, the new Fisker EV will also be using graphene technology for their batteries. This means that efficiency will be increased and at the same time will reduce charging time.

The said battery technology, which was concocted by Fisker Nanotech in collaboration with the University of California in Los Angeles, will also be pitched to other automakers as a part of their market expansion.

Fisker also promises that the new EV model will be luxurious and will contain some of his signature designs and aesthetic preferences.

As for the manufacturing, The Verge reports that it will be spearheaded by his newly-found company Fisker Incorporated. The production schedule for the EV, however, is still at large as of the moment.

The EV will also be released as a part of the luxury line of Fisker Inc. vehicles. They will also be patterning subsequent releases to competitor Tesla by releasing a mass-produced version of the EV.

Fisker is widely renowned in the industry as a premier vehicle designer and engineer. He is best known for his designs which include the Aston Martin V8 Vantage and DB9 as well as the BMW Z8.

He established Fisker Automotive and released the hybrid car Fisker Karma. The company declared bankruptcy and was sold to Chinese auto parts company Wanxiang.
