2017 Nissan GT-R Nismo Price, Features Here: Rivalry With McLaren Apparent?

It seems that McLaren just got a new competitor. Nissan is about to launch the 2017 Nissan GT-R Nismo in dealerships soon. Rumor has it that the Nissan's price levels with the McLaren model.

Car and Driver revealed that the price for the present model jumped up to 58%, from around $100k to a whopping $176,585. But there are small but noticeable changes on the vehicle: an enlarged 8.0-inch touchscreen, a dashboard stitched with nappa leather, and more faux suede.

Furthermore, the auto website also believes that the 2017 Nissan GT-R Nismo has an impressive speed. Their records revealed that it was 2.9 seconds to 60, 1.02 g on the skidpad, and the quarter-mile in 11 seconds at 128 mph. The model packs in 600hp via a twin-turbo 3.8L V6 engine.

However, the outlet believes that one can swap a Nissan Versa to a McLaren 570 S, with much of the features. But they made it clear that the Nismo model is impressive and that the price should be worth it.

Meanwhile, Nissan North America VP and Product Planning Michael Bunce said in a statement that the model is now widely available in the United States.

"Last spring, our most exclusive and fastest road-going GT-R ever, the 2017 NISMO, made its global debut at the famed Nürburgring race course, where the Nissan GT-R's potent performance was honed, tuned and developed," Bunce said, quotes Slashgear.

"Now, as it readies to hit the streets of North America, it's fitting that it does so among a gathering of the Nissan and Datsun heritage cars that paved the way for this ultimate expression of Nissan innovation and performance," he added.

It appears that the 2017 Nissan GT-R Nismo costs more than the expected amount. But the website and the car enthusiasts are hopeful that the new model will deliver and is worth the amount.
