2017 Honda Civic Hatchback Price Revealed - Arrives In Dealerships Today

The Civic hatchback drought is over! Today, the 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback arrived in US dealerships with price range starting at $19,700 up to $30,000 top of the line. Honda hasn't sold a Civic hatchback in the US since 2005 and with that, demand is expected to be high.

The Hot Hatchback is Here

After the 2017 Honda Civic sedan and coupe, Honda will begin selling the new generation of the Civic hatchback today. The new model will be available there in five different versions, with a starting price of $$19,700.

The most basic version of the Honda Civic Hatchback 2017 line is the LX, equipped with the 1.5 liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, which delivers 176 horsepower and 23 lb.-ft. of torque, in this case with six-speed manual exchange.

There is a variant of the option with automatic transmission CVT type, which costs $20,500. According to the brand, this provides propellant consumption of 13.3 km / l in the city, 17.2 km / l on the highway and 14.5 km / l in the combined cycle.

The asking price creeps up as you ascend the Civic Hatchback range, with Sport MT at $21,300, Sport CVT $22,100, EX CVT $22,800 and EX-L Navi VT $25,300.

Sportlie Version Still A Mystery

In the case of the Sport line top version Touring, Honda hasnt revealed the price yet but considering the price of the EX-L navi VT, expected price would be at around $30,000. The 2017 Honda hatchback sport line version is expected to deliver 185 hp and will include additional features such as dual exhaust, a continuously variable transmission, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, seat heating and more. The Sport Touring model will also have items like aluminum pedals, ambient lighting and premium sound system with 12 speakers and 540 watts of power.

Beating The Competition

Compared with other hatchbacks in the compact car segment, the Civic hatch has a slightly higher starting price as most of its competitors starts way below $20,000. However, it is one of the most powerful when it comes to power and speed. The only car that can battle with it is the Mazda 3 hatchback that can produce 184 hp as well as theVolkswagen Golf with 170hp.

This only proves that the 2017 Honda Civic hatchback can beat its competitions in no time. Plus, it is a Civic, one of the top selling cars in the world. So it is truly a must-have.
